Design

Civil and Structural Design is our business as well as cost engineering. Stormwater design, Flood studies, Water Supplies

Fire Hydrants and Hose Reel Systems.

GCSE are Engineers with a comprehensive range of Civil and Structural Engineering Design including  Architectural Services includes concept design, design development, detailed design and construction services.

Our  capability can be delivered as services, with support from a full project team or just a project manager, depending on your needs.

We are keenly aware of the many ways that technology is changing the face of engineering design. We keep pace with technological innovations to ensure that we seamlessly integrate these developments into the way we work with clients. For example, we are actively positioning our capability to meet the emerging design and construction innovations offered by Building Information Modelling (BIM) using, among others, Autodesk software tools Revit.

We also offer l constructability advice, ensuring projects can be delivered practicably, to budget and in time.

Contracts

GCSEngineers’ contract administration services encompass contract writing, pre-tender contract review, tender evaluation and contract management.

Our clients typically include developers, road and rail authorities, other government infrastructure agencies and global consulting engineering firms. They value our extensive contract administration experience which, underpinned by our expertise in design, total cost engineering and risk management, identifies and mitigates risk factors from the outset.

We possess extensive experience with AS2124 and GC21 Contracts for major infrastructure projects, enabling us to confidently advise on the most suitable contract for specific projects. Drawing on our design heritage, we can also identify design gaps that could lead to contractual problems and advise on which party is best placed to address them.

We also provide independent contract reviews at the pre-tendering phase, delivering valuable impartial and independent feedback to clients to ensure they go to market with the most appropriate and best possible contractual offering.

Headquartered in Sydney, with associates around Australia with qualified and experienced engineers and technicians on staff, we manage large and small civil and structural engineering projects. Concept Feasibility Design Cost Deliver.

We’re deliver first quality consulting services; from design, cost engineering and programming, through to risk management, contracts administration.

Our range of services and geographical area in which we operate are slowly growing. From design to cost and delivery, GCSEngineers adds value to any project.

Since 2007 GCSEngineers uses Pronamics Software for cost estimating as it is reliable, easy to use, powerful and cost-effective cost estimating system. It is now the standard estimating system for numerous civil T1 CONTRACTORS and government organisations in Australia.

Focused on cost estimating specifically, our services are based on first principles estimating and include:

  • Development and documentation of comprehensive organisational cost estimating processes, practice guidelines and manuals.
  • Cost engineering can be integrated with PRONAMICS Estimating Software, or as part of the client’s own systems.

Programming

GCSEngineers supplies comprehensive scheduling (programming) services as part of our Design | Cost | Deliver approach during pre-construction, construction and post-construction.

Our programming is highly regarded by Australia's leading road development contractors. We work with leading scheduling software to meet our clients' specific scheduling requirements. This includes:

  • Pre-tender programmes to determine constructability, traffic staging options and other items that could allow design improvements.
  • Tender programmes that optimiseconstruction methodologies, which in turn can reduce the tender figure and ultimately assist in winning tenders.
  • Tender programme analysisfor clients to assess possible time-related claims 'embedded' in the tender. We offer this analysis throughout the life of a project and on updated programs, to help protect our clients’ interests.

Analysis on possible recovery programs when projects are going off track for either contractors or principals.

Estimates and accounting analysis aligned with program cash flows.

Forensic programming on completed projects to defend or prosecute time-related contractual claims.

Whether it's roads, railways, bridges, tunnels, desalination plants, water (and sewer) infrastructure, buildings, dams and more, we can design a successful programme for you.

Risk

As risk analysis and management professionals, we can also assist clients to identify and manage project risks including governance and reputational risks. Our risk services extend to advising on environmental factors of the contract, looking to and beyond relevant legislative requirements to ensure the contract delivers sustainable infrastructure.
